Well it’s now 4 th of August and not a lot of stitching has been done as we have been busy housesitting an acreage in Mareeba farnthqld. We spent a month at Wongaling beach which was just beautiful then had to head back to Forrest beach for a Drs appointment re gall bladder operation, then onto Mareeba where we currently are doing this house sit .The area is very dry and we have seen brown snakes problem is they are the colour of the soil and dead leaves so we have to keep an eye out for them. We walk every day take Monty’s pram into town and walk him it’s so enjoyable. People here aren’t as friendly as they are on the coast unfortunately. Although hubby and I went to Atherton on Thursday as I had another audiologist appointment. We went to big w while we were there got charged twice by checkout chick for one item so had to go back Friday for a refund . A stone chip flew up and hit our windscreen so that has to be replaced this week thank heaven for RACQ. This morning there is a lot of smoke and fog around so QPWS must be burning off in the national parks, actually I know they are our son works for them and warned us last Monday . So we are keeping an eye out for bushfires and wildlife . I saw the cutest wallaby last Wednesday he wasn’t at all concerned about my presence nearby . There are also lots of birdlife up here Willy wagtails always make me think of my Mum she loved them.
